At Money Insights for Kids, we believe every child deserves the confidence to make smart money choices. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to create simple, fun, and practical tools that empower parents and teachers to raise the next generation of money-smart kids.
Why We Started This
We know teaching kids about money can feel overwhelming. Where do you start? How much is too much? And how do you make it fun instead of boring?
We’ve been there. As moms, we’ve asked those same questions. As educators, we’ve seen how important early lessons are. That’s why we teamed up to build something different — resources that actually fit into real life.
Meet Heather
Heather is the founder of Money Insights for Kids and the creator of the Smart Money for Littles course, where she combines her passion for financial literacy with her diverse professional background to empower parents and teachers in raising financially savvy kids.
With a degree in Sociology and Psychology, Heather has cultivated a deep understanding of human behavior and decision-making, which she has applied throughout her career in healthcare, mortgage, and technology. Today, she channels that expertise into helping families teach kids about money in creative, impactful, and stress-free ways.
As a wife and partner to Christian Allen, founder of Money Insights and host of the Money Insights Podcast, Heather is part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping families and individuals achieve financial security. Together, they navigate life as a blended family with five wonderful children, inspiring her mission to make financial education practical and accessible for the next generation.
Through her educational resources and courses, Heather offers real-world insights, expert guidance, and actionable strategies designed to make learning about money engaging for kids and approachable for adults.
When she’s not creating new resources, Heather enjoys reading, traveling, going to plays, volunteering, and spending time with her family.
Meet Brittany
Brittany is a mom of three and an early education teacher with 17 years of experience in preschool and kindergarten classrooms.
She has spent nearly two decades watching how young kids learn best — through play, repetition, and hands-on experiences. Brittany brings that lens to everything we create at Money Insights for Kids, making sure our lessons are developmentally appropriate and fun for little learners.
